About Us
Who are We?
The Dundas County Players is an amateur theatrical society run by a dedicated group of volunteers. It began by a group of local theatre lovers in 1996.
Every year we create opportunities for community members of all ages to get involved in offering high quality theatre to our small-town audiences. Our shows range from well-known dramas, comedies, and musicals, to uniquely crafted cabarets, puppet shows and original local works.
Our mission is to foster amateur theatre and promote interest in the dramatic and related arts in North and South Dundas and surrounding areas. We aim:
- To produce a minimum of two (2) major theatrical productions per year
- To support art and heritage outreach activities
- To support community not-for-profit and non-profit organizations
- To promote youth drama activities
