Have you ever wondered ‘Hmmm, would I rather portray Sam Spade or Lady Macbeth?’ Life is full of difficult choices, but this one need trouble you no more!

Come audition for David Belke’s The Maltese Bodkin, a film-noire-esque murder mystery play set in Shakespearean England. We are looking for:

1 male – 25-60 – gritty, jaded 40s detective accent
1 female – 23-50 – classic 40s Brooklyn accent
A whole passel of males and females, capable of a broad Shakespearean accent, some speaking in rhyme, some with a suggestion of Scottish, Italian origins.

Don’t be shy; we admire enthusiasm more than perfection! Lots of small parts, opportunities for gunplay, sword-fighting, fisticuffs, comedy, puppetry, specialty make-up, awesome costumes, and TONS OF FUN!
