Spring 2013 Production Opens April 26th

Dundas County Players open 2013 season with “Pump Boys and Dinettes” presented by special arrangement with Samuel French.  Book, Lyrics and Music by John Foley, Mark Hardwick, Debra Monk, Cass Morgan, John Schimmel and Jim Wann.

This Tony nominated Broadway show, is a lighthearted and spunky musical production that has been around since the early 1980’s.  Set somewhere in North Carolina, it tells the story of four men who work at L.M. and Jim’s Gas Station and two women who waitress at the Double Cupp Diner.  These 6 characters transform an ordinary, typical and otherwise boring day, into a toe tapping even foot stomping occasion; celebrating friendship and life’s simple pleasures through the magic of music.

Under the direction of Terry Green and the musical direction of Colleen Howard, a small and talented cast promise to entertain you with country and gospel, ballads and blues, guitar and accordion… and even a waitress who thinks pots and pans make pretty good percussion instruments.

“Pump Boys and Dinettes ” is 90 minutes of pure entertainment. It will make you smile and laugh and hopefully, leave you feeling just a little more optimistic.

Performances will take place on April 26,27,28 May 3,4,5 at the Old Town Hall, 478 Main St. Winchester.  Evening performances start at 7:30 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, April, 26, 27, and May 3, 4.  There will be a 2:30 pm matinee on Sundays April 28 and May 5.
